Terms of Service

Effective April 15, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Your Signal service ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and the operator of Your Signal ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. What the Service Does

Your Signal is a third-party uptime monitoring and status page platform. We periodically send HTTP requests to URLs you set up ("Monitors") and record whether those endpoints respond successfully. We do not host, manage, operate, or have any control over the servers, websites, or APIs you choose to monitor. We have no access to your infrastructure and no ability to affect its uptime, performance, or security.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when signing up. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately. We may suspend accounts that show signs of unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not: (a) resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission; (b) use the Service to monitor endpoints you do not own or have authorization to monitor; (c) attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure; (d) use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal API use; or (e) violate any applicable law or regulation through your use of the Service.

5. Plans, Billing & Refunds

The Service offers free and paid plans. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Plan limits (monitors, pages, team members, data retention, CSV exports) are enforced as described on our pricing page.

6. Keeping Your Monitors Current

You are responsible for maintaining accurate monitor configurations. If a monitored URL becomes permanently unreachable (for example, because the domain expired or the server was shut down), you should update or remove the monitor. Monitoring unreachable endpoints wastes system resources and may trigger the removal policy described below.

7. Inactive Monitor Removal

If a monitor returns continuous failures for more than thirty-one (31) consecutive days with no successful response, we consider it abandoned. We may then soft-delete the monitor without prior notice. A soft-deleted monitor stops being checked immediately. You may request its restoration within twenty-five (25) days of soft-deletion. After twenty-five (25) days, the monitor and all of its data (check history, incidents, analytics) are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. It is your responsibility to keep your endpoints reachable or to remove monitors you no longer need.

8. Data Retention

We retain your raw check data based on your plan: Free and Premium accounts keep one (1) year of data; Max accounts keep three (3) years. When data passes your plan's retention window, it is permanently deleted during routine maintenance and cannot be recovered. Upgrading your plan extends future retention but does not bring back data that was already deleted.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, branding, or other proprietary materials. Your monitoring data belongs to you; we claim no ownership over the data you generate through the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. Monitoring results may contain inaccuracies due to network conditions, DNS behavior, rate limiting, or other factors outside our control.

11. We Are Not Responsible for Your Servers

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACTUAL DOWNTIME, OUTAGE, DATA LOSS, REVENUE LOSS, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE AFFECTING YOUR SERVERS, WEBSITES, APPLICATIONS, OR BUSINESS. The Service observes and reports. It does not cause, prevent, or fix outages on your infrastructure. We are not liable for any failure of your monitored endpoints, whether or not the Service detected such failure.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR TEN US DOLLARS ($10.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Your Signal and its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content or data you submit through the Service.

14. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion permanently removes all data associated with your organization, including monitors, status pages, check history, team members, and incidents. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion if we believe they violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or have been inactive for an extended period.

15. Privacy

We collect and process personal information necessary to operate the Service, including your email address, IP address, and usage data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Check results and monitor configurations are visible only to members of your organization unless you make a status page public. For questions about data handling, contact us at admin@yoursignals.work.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page with a new effective date. We will not send individual notices for every change. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the changes. We encourage you to check this page from time to time. If you do not agree with updated Terms, stop using the Service and delete your account.
